Financial infrastructure and applied AI for an insurance ecosystem built around Qatar’s first super app.

  • Re-architected shared financial services with Saga and Transactional Outbox.
  • Indexed the codebase in Qdrant and built a LangGraph / Langfuse Slack agent that keeps analysts aligned with implementation details.
  • Helped deploy a local LLM fine-tuned on internal Confluence, Jira and other company documentation.
  • Co-developed QIC AI, a conversational experience for purchasing an insurance policy entirely through chat.
  • Delivered an automotive-marketplace AI assistant saving about $7K per month.
  • Built an Oracle-to-platform CDC pipeline with Debezium, Kafka and PostgreSQL.

Built a big-data, AI-native analytics center for forensic investigators from scratch, leading a team of seven engineers.

  • Led the product from MVP through stabilization and scaling: early deployments handled up to 10 GB; today, multiple customers work with terabytes of data.
  • Made the product AI-native under tight timelines: connected LLMs to face search and built a LangGraph and Langfuse forensic assistant for aggregating evidence, alongside multiple additional AI features.
  • Made development AI-native: introduced RAG indexing of the codebase in Qdrant and embedded a review agent with vector-store access into the engineering pipeline.
  • Moved the platform from virtual machines to containerized AWS infrastructure and delivered an on-premises customer edition with Kubernetes autoscaling.
  • Evolved the data layer from PostgreSQL alone to PostgreSQL, S3, ClickHouse, Elasticsearch and Redis; designed and shipped an end-to-end live CDC migration from PostgreSQL to ClickHouse through Debezium and Kafka.
  • Engineered CGO integrations in a performance-critical hot path.

Learned enterprise engineering from the inside while building warehouse-sorting services carrying 60–70K RPS and moving millions of items every day.

  • Contributed to a new containerization architecture designed for fault tolerance and uninterrupted warehouse operations.
  • Significantly improved sorting reliability by eliminating idempotency defects, reducing failure risks and introducing resilience mechanisms during a major refactoring effort.
  • Owned the operation and stability of services processing more than 10 million items per day across the Russian Post and Ozon ecosystem, including peak-season preparation, incident investigation and process optimization.
  • Co-designed a semi-integration testing system spanning integration to end-to-end scenarios; tests automatically launched Kafka consumers, supporting services and a database to reproduce real business flows, reducing QA workload and improving release quality. I also implemented the end-to-end tests.
  • Ran daily team syncs, keeping work focused on priorities and improving internal processes while developing engineering-management skills.

Designed and built from scratch a fault-tolerant, eventual-consistency payment gateway on an event-driven model and a custom Redis Streams message broker, inside a high-load platform with 1+ PB of storage and individual services reaching 10K RPS.

  • Designed and implemented a single-stage payment flow with bank-acquiring integrations, including the complete connector and core payment-processing services. Built with Go, Redis Streams, Transactional Outbox and Kafka, with 89% test coverage driven primarily by Dockertest integration tests.
  • Presented the acquiring system’s development process and architecture at an internal engineering conference, sharing practical design decisions and team approaches.
  • Integrated bank loyalty programs and online payment systems through two microservice connectors; built the card-binding flow and co-created a Redis Streams message broker used with Transactional Outbox.
  • Built a bank-callback processing microservice with asymmetric checksum verification and achieved 91% test coverage, including Dockertest integration scenarios.
  • Contributed actively to architecture sessions for Citydrive’s new fintech platform and conducted both cross-team and fintech-team code reviews, strengthening shared engineering standards.
